105 - Supervisor Responsibilities
- Each supervisor is responsible for the general safety of the employees under his or her supervision. This supervisory responsibility shall in no way relieve any employee from individual responsibility to perform work safely. It is the specific responsibility of the supervisor to ensure that safe methods of completing the various jobs performed by each employee under his/her supervision are communicated and used. The supervisor shall also ensure that any employee assigned a job has been properly trained to safely do that job.
- In the event of an injury to an employee under your supervision, notify your supervision, the shift manager, and the site Medical and FFD Services staff immediately and ensure that an Employee Injury/Illness Report is completed and forwarded to the site Medical and FFD Services normally within 24 hours.
- The supervisor shall ensure each job is planned, briefed, and conducted with safety in mind.
