201 - Clothing
- You shall wear clothing suitable for your type of work.
- Long pants shall be worn inside the industrial work environment. All coveralls, shirts, including scrubs when required, shall have a minimum 3-in. sleeve covering the upper arm and shall be worn while performing work in the industrial work environment.
- High-visibility clothing meeting Federal Highway Administration requirements shall be worn when working within the limits of highway rights-of-way.
- Modesty clothing, such as scrubs and shorts, may be worn in the industrial environment while in transition to or from a work area.
- Proper arm covering, such as a long sleeve shirt, Kevlar sleeve, or other appropriate covering, shall be worn to protect against a burn hazard.
- Qualified employees authorized to work on or near exposed electrical equipment shall not wear clothing containing polyester, acetate, nylon, polypropylene, or rayon or blends of the same unless they have been treated to make them arc flash rated. Only clothing made of natural fibers, such as cotton, wool, silk, or a blend of these materials or an approved flame-retardant fabric shall be worn.
