203 - Fire, Safety and Emergencies
- You are
responsible for knowing the emergency telephone numbers for reporting fires or
other emergencies at your work location.
- At Plant Farley, Plant Hatch, and Plant Vogtle report emergencies to the plant control room by dialing the plant extension 911.
- At the Energy Center, dial extension 1911. At SNC corporate headquarters Building 40, report emergencies to Building Security at extension 5555. For Building 31 report emergencies by calling 911.
- At other locations or when traveling, report emergencies by dialing the local emergency services at 911.
- Do not remove safety or fire equipment from designated locations without proper authority. Provisions must be made to replace emergency equipment as soon as possible. When reporting fires or other emergencies, identify yourself, give the location of the emergency and the material or equipment involved and if conditions permit, stay on the line until you are released by the person receiving your call.
- You may fight fires or help with other emergencies as your qualifications and equipment permit. If you are not trained to fight fires or assist in other emergencies, evacuate the area to a safe place and help direct emergency personnel if possible.
