Respirable
Crystalline Silica (RCS) – Quartz, cristobalite, and/or tridymite contained in
airborne particles that are determined to be respirable by a sampling device
designed to meet the characteristics for respirable-particle-size-selective
samplers specified by OSHA Respirable Crystalline Silica standards.
Employees
shall follow the Written Exposure Control Plan per NMP-FLS-025
Obtain
and wear appropriate PPE
Ensure
silica minimizing controls, such as vacuum and integrated water systems are
used.
Report malfunctioning or defective equipment to your
Supervisor.
